Twist Locks
Intermodal road twist locks are a component of flat bed road trailers or container trailer chassis (skeletal chassis). Twist locks lock ISO 1161 freight containers onto the vehicle.​ Twist locks come in many different designs and configurations. There are 2 main product design groups and 2 sub-groups: Retractable and Non-retractable. Both of these have the sub-groups of Screw-down or Non-screw down.
Retractable Twist Locks

The rugged cast body on these units are far more durable than the fabricated bodies offered by other suppliers.
​
These “Front Locking Pins” mount laterally onto the front bolster of container tunnel chassis.
When the container is in place on the chassis, the pins are manually engaged into the front aperture of the lower container casting. This prevents vertical movement of the container.

End Aperture Plug Lug
KRY 6372
Can be attached to the end aperture of an ISO corner casting and/or side apertures of upper and lower corner castings; once twisted into position, a spring-loaded pin prevents accidental removal.

Insert lug into oval-shaped end aperture until it stops

While depressing the spring-loaded pin, rotate lug 90 degrees in either direction
